ΖΦΒ History General overview of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated was founded on January 16, 1920 on the campus of Howard University by five (5) dynamic women. - Arizona Cleaver Stemmons
- Viola Tyler Goings
- Myrtle Tyler Faithful
- Fannie Pettie Watts
- Pearl Anna Neal
There were already two other sororities in place on the campus of Howard University, but neither of them had quite the appeal that any of the Founders were looking for in a sisterhood. So, with the help of A. Langston Taylor and Charles R. Taylor, both members of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority was founded as the first and only sorority to be constitutionally bound to a fraternity.
The principles of Zeta Phi Beta are: - Sisterhood
- Scholarship
- Service
- Finer Womanhood
Today, there are over 100,000 Finer Women in over 600 chapters all over the world.
