interests

My research interests focus on the field of Communications but also on the field of Signal Processing with more emfasis to the following areas:

Communications

  • Wireless Cooperative Communications
  • Cognitive Radio
  • Channel Estimation / Equalization
  • Sensor Networks
  • Multiantenna systems
  • Multiple Access and Dynamic Resource Allocation

Signal Processing
  • Image Restoration / Improvement / Compression & Color Theory
  • Digital Watermarking
  • Speech Modeling / Recognition
  • Adaptive Algorithms
  • Sound processing

My diploma thesis concerned wireless communications and in particular, channel estimation algorithms using "hidden" training sequence.

At the time being, I work under the guidance of Prof. Urbashi Mitra on subjects concerning Activity Recognition.

Apart from my research interests, my free time is full of:

  • Music (mainly Rock/Metal)
  • Cinema
  • Voyages
  • Cart - postal collection
