Short Bio

Zheng Li was born in China. Before came to US, he lived in Beijing for two decades. He received his B.S. (2000) degree in electrical engineering from Tsinghua University, China and M.S. (2003) degree in electrical engineering from University of Southern California. He is currently a Research Assistant in

Biomedical Imaging Research Lab, led by Prof. Richard M. Leahy. His research interests include computer aided detection, parametric imaging, random field and image segmentation.

 

Research Projects

Statistical based tumor detection for dynamic PET.

Thresholding algorithm controlling the false-alarm rate for a non-stationary Gaussian random field statistical map.

Image segmentation using the Gaussian mixture model and a EM algorithm with the application to multi-frame image segmentation.

Image variance estimation for iterative maximum a posterior (MAP) image reconstruction.

Parameter estimation for multi-frame image sequence.

Feature extraction algorithms for tumor detection on multiple-frame image.

Computer observers and ROC study to evaluating signal detectability in multi-frame image.
