Goals of Pledging
It is the goal of the pledge program for all neophytes to learn and understand the sorority's history, secrets, facts, etc. so that IF they are able to become an active sister, they will be able to perpetuate the traditions of the sorority for years to come. Pledges will also elect pledge officers amongst themselves who will carry on various responsibilities that will correlate with their position. The goal of having pledge officers is to prepare and cultivate potential leaders in the sorority.

Pledging is also a time when you learn about the active and alumni sisters, your pledge sisters, and even yourself. It is a time where the bonds of Sisterhood begin through various interactions you will have with your pledge, active, and alumni sisters. It is through this period that you will have the chance to demonstrate your commitment and willingness to become an active sister of Zeta Sigma Phi.
