A new book came out: Chan Master Miao Tian's Book of Wisdom and the Guide to Heart Chan Meditation. The book contains compiled teachings of Chan Master Miao Tian on Chan Buddhism and Chan Meditation (Chan: Chinese Zen). The book shares wisdom and unique perspectives on Chan, life, religions, spirituality, health, meditation, and techniques for self-improvement through simple language that everybody can understand. You may want to read the Introduction. If interested, you can buy it from Amazon, or check out from Los Angeles Public Library, County of Los Angeles Public Library, or Orange County Public Libraries.

The annual retreat hosted by American Zen Association will take place next year (2008) at Asilomar Conference Center, Pacific Grove, CA. It's right next to the famous 17-mile Drive. The registration is open now. Seats are limited, and it's on a first-come-first-serve basis. Interested people please see the registration information and registration form.

Spring '07 meditation class ended today. We will not hold on-campus meetings during summer; however, we will continue on by going to a weekly meditation held in Tustin, CA instead. Upcoming events include an annual retreat to be held on 9/1-9/3 (Labor Day) at UC Santa Barbara.
