Academic work and research experiences:
Research assistant, Rapid Prototyping Lab ,University of Southern California Fall 2006-present
· Developed a new mechanism for Solid Freeform Fabrication of metallic parts by Selective Inhibition of Sintering (SIS) process, patent number 7241415.
· Designed, modeled and fabricated a 3 axis Rapid Prototype machine for building metallic parts by the concept of SIS process.( Click here for a demo )
· Designed, performed and analyzed a wide variety of experiments for Solid Freeform Fabrication of metallic parts by the SIS process.
· Optimized and improved the effective parameters in the SIS process by minimizing the shrinkage, maximizing the strength and improving the surface quality by the aid of Response Surface Methodology
