I have a twin sister, Reyyan, who is a PhD student in Language Technologies Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.

My mother Emine Yeniterzi is a professor at Selcuk University Faculty of Science and Literature, Department of Turkish Language and Literature. She is the chair of the department. Furthermore she is the author of several books and some of her books are translated to English and Japanese

My father Mehmet Yeniterzi is a professor at Selcuk University Meram Faculty of Medicine, Department of Cardiovascular Surgery.

I like reading, traveling and watching movies.

I am also very fond of Turkish Art Music. I was a member of Turkish Art Music Chorus of Sabanci University for several years. We got Extracurricular Activities Awards in music for great contribution to the SU community life via music activity in 2005.
