About GreenID

GreenID is a concept that utilizes AAA Rubbish mission to continually improve its operational excellence driven by its 90 years of experience coupled with its promise to offer personalized service to every customer. To that effect, GreedID will broaden the scope of service that AAA Rubbish currently offers in keeping with the company mission, generating a new source of revenue from existing customers without the need to acquire a new customer base. This new service, provided by AAA, will exploit its customer needs to meet governmental pressures for firms to become environmental friendly and meet recycling quotas.

In its current mode of operation, AAA collects waste from each of its customers and then transports the waste to a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) where the waste is separated from recyclable items. Those recyclable items are then sold by the MRF in bulk to recycling firms for revenue. The proposed initiative is derived from the knowledge that of its approximately 9,000 customers, AAA currently has approximately 680 customers that produce enough recyclable material to be collected in bulk with 40 cubic yard roll off containers. With this new process for those 680 customers, AAA will be able to extract the revenue that the MRF was generating, for itself by having customers separate the bulk recyclable items. This initiative uses RFID technology to keep accurate track of the recyclable material in real time while providing customers up to the minute information of their recyclables, enabling them to print their weight tickets and recycling certificates with the click of a mouse.
