Fight On!

USC Women’s Ice Hockey

2008-2009 Season

We are currently recruiting for this coming season! Here are some Frequently Asked Questions about the team.

Q: I’ve never played hockey before – I don’t even know how to skate! Can I still join?

A: Of course! We have a range of experience on the team, and you’ll learn fast.

Q: How often is practice? And where is it?

A:  Our dryland or conditioning workout is held every Monday or Sunday (TBD) at 9 pm at Cromwell Field (the track).

Ice practice is every Wednesday at 9:45 at the Pasadena Ice Skating Center (www.skatepasadena.com). We arrange carpools to and from there.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Cost per semester is $300, so $600 for the year. These club dues cover approximately 12 practices on ice each semester, as well as our trip expenses for the tournament in the spring.

Checks can be made out to USC Women's Ice Hockey.

Q: I don’t have my own gear! What can I do?

A: If you don't have equipment we have some for you to borrow.  We require a $30 deposit that we will refund when you return the gear at the end of the year.  However, if you are looking to commit to the team and are interested in buying gear, we can recommend where to go and possibly arrange a trip to help get you started.
