About me
I am a student at the University of Southern California, currently pursuing my Master's in Computer Science; and expect to graduate by Fall 2010. I received my Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the University of Mumbai in Fall 2008.
I have been in touch with computer science as an academic area of interest for almost eight years. During this time I have acquired necessary programming skills and logical abilities, and these have made my journey so far a lot easier. I believe the long hours and late nights I have put in over the years, for projects I have worked with, down to fixing the smallest bug, have contributed significantly towards the development of qualities I consider important – endurance and perseverance.
I also hope to gain some industry experience soon.
I am interested in movies (drama and comedy) and my favorite ones include Paradise Now, Irreversible, Little Miss Sunshine and Khosla Ka Ghosla due to fact that it feels like the director has planted a camera in a common person's life, and captured the realism therein.
Soccer is my passion and Riquelme for me is the player of the century. The best soccer match ever played, according to me, was the UEFA CL 2004-2005 semi final between AC Milan and PSV Eindhoven. Soccer sums up the ultimate goal in my life - to create awareness and contribute to the world via the means of it as it "bypasses all languages, races and religions".
My family is my greatest strength and my mom is an inspirational figure in my life.My younger sister is also following a similar path to achieve her dreams and make our parents proud. In times of discomfort or trouble, my dad has always been there to sort things out for me and I shall always be thankful for that.
