My thesis research incorporates the field of optics to characterize, and better understand the behaviors and lifetime of polymeric thin films and biomimetic membranes. Recent developments have allowed us to use optical devices as sensors as a means of nondestructively and selectively probing various regions of the film/membrane. [click here to read more]


Feb 2015: Victoria's paper has been published in Applied Physics Letters.

Oct 2013: Victoria has been selected to receive an award from the Los Angeles Chapter Board of the ARCS Foundation for the 2013-2014 academic year!

April 2013: Victoria has been awarded a Los Angeles Chapter ASM International scholarship!

Oct 2012: Victoria has been awarded an ARCS scholarship!
