What happened to Thanksgiving?

Some shoppers want to know where the holiday between Halloween and Christmas went and wonder if it's ever coming back.

For some consumers, decorations come just in time, but others feel they come a little too early. With shops around Los Angeles all ready for the holiday season, consumers don't have a chance to avoid the winter wonderland.

"I notice there's no Thanksgiving anymore, it's just like gone," said shopper Lowell Foster. "The Halloween comes up, then it's immediately Christmas."

Professor of Marketing at the University of Southern California Kristin Diehl said that the reason stores don't put up Thanksgiving decorations is because, "It's less of a gift giving situation."

Diehl also added that some shops do decorate -- but they'll most likely be grocery stores.

"The Wrapper" holiday store at The Grove sells some Thanksgiving decorations, but they just sit on the shelves.

"Skip over Thanksgiving. It's Halloween and Christmas. That's it.
