About Me

My first research experience was in Dr. Samir Mitragotri’s laboratory at UC Santa Barbara, where I did my undergraduate work. Dr. Mitragotri’s lab focuses on developing novel methods of drug delivery in order to provide patient-friendly and easy-to-use means of disease management. The project I worked on in Dr. Mitragotri’s lab involved intracellular transport in shocked skin cells. The types of shock exerted on the cells were heat and ultrasound. The results of our studies showed that intracellular transport in shocked cells was slowed due to the decrease in microtubule density after shock.

I plan to do more research for my Masters so look for this section to grow…
