Bayle Smith

Junior - Outside Hitter - Irvine, CA

Bayle is in his third season with the USC Men's Club Volleyball team. He attended Sage Hill School in Newport Coast (Calif.) where he played four years of varsity volleyball. As a team captain sophomore, junior, and senior year, he led his team to the CIF Div. 5 Semi-finals twice and to a league championship once. He was named to the Div. 5 All-CIF Southern Section First Team his sophomore, junior, and senior years, as well as Academy League MVP his junior and senior years. He played for Balboa Bay Volleyball Club throughout high school, winning a bronze medal in the 2008 Junior Olympic Open Division with his team. Bayle also played for a USA junior national team during the summer of 2008, playing against professional and junior national teams in Germany, Austria, Slovenia, and Italy. Bayle is a business major and is currently planning on concentrating in either Financial Analysis and Valuation or Real Estate Finance and hopes to work in real estate investment when he graduates. Aside from volleyball, Bayle enjoys hanging out with friends, going to the beach, and travelling, especially if it is surf or snowboard-related travel.
