Kappa Kappa Greens

KKGreens is the philanthropy that the Delta Tau Chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma has been sponsoring for 4 years. Money that is raised goes to benefit the Los Angeles Breast Cancer Foundation to support women in our local community as well. The event consists of Fraternities paying an entrance fee so that their team can build its own miniature golf hole and bring it to our parking lot, and then compete against the other fraternities by playing a round of miniature golf on all of the holes. Prizes are awarded for creativity in the building of the holes as well as best putting scores. Every year we sell T-shirts to help advertise the event as well as bring in extra profit for us to donate.

The Rose McGill Fund
Though much of our efforts benefit non-Kappa's, we try to locate and assist our sisters that are in need. We accomplish this in two ways - the Rose McGill Fund and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation. The Rose McGill fund was established in 1922 to provide confidential aid to Kappa alumna members with serious financial needs. Emergency Assistance Grants and Confidential Aid for Alumna and Undergraduates are also services provided for through this fund. Presently we support the fund by donations and magazine sales. We encourage you to call 1-800-KKG-ROSE if you are interested in subscribing to any magazine! The Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation donates money to support our high standards of scholarship, leadership, ethical principals and service. Contributions to the foundation support scholarships and educational and leadership programming for all Kappa's.
Songfest
Every year the members of Kappa Kappa Gamma pair up with a fraternity to participate in Songfest. The fraternity-sorority teams take popular songs from movie soundtracks, television shows and the radio, and add original lyrics to fit every year's unique theme. Past themes include "Blast From The Past" and "Anywhere USA". All money made is donated to Troy Camp, a USC program which takes children from the surrounding neighborhood of South Central Los Angeles to camp for a week-long fun learning experience. Here is a picture from Songfest last year. Since the theme was "Anywhere USA" , our team was suppose to represent Lousiana. So, we decided to do a play off the movie Moulin Rouge and instead to Baton Rouge.
Fraternity Philanthropies

In addition to our own philanthropy, members of Kappa are active participants in many of fraternities philanthropies. In the past year we have won many of these, including Sigma Chi Derby Days, ATO Rodeo, Phi Psi 500, ATO Boxing, and TKE Volleyball. In addition, for the past two years we have donated the most amount of money to the PIKE Fireman Auction. This year we proudly won Sigma Chi Derby Days and raised over $3,000 for the Los Angeles Children's Hospital.
