Boards
Advocacy representatives deal with issues that concern university housing, security, transportation, dining, student health, and many other topics that directly affect the entire student body and students that live in university housing. The Advocacy Board has spearheaded many projects and policies to improve student life since its inception. This year the board is hard at work to improve meal plan options at USC.
One of URSC’s functions is also to help fund student and residential activities. The Funding Board is responsible for distributing $30,000 allocated to student programs in residential housing. Student organizations, building governments, residential advisors, and students are all eligible to request funding from URSC to finance programs, field trips, and activities for students.
Programming Board is responsible for planning and implementing programs and activities for the student body. Programming Board has many events that occur annually, and each year its representatives create and coordinate new programs. Save Tommy Night, an annual rally and concert preceding the USC-UCLA football game, is one of Programming Board’s most popular and long-running events.
