I was inspired to create a personal website by entrepreneur Jason Roberts. In How to Increase Your Luck Surface Area, he writes:

If there's one thing I've discovered in recent years it's this. These are the passions I like to do things with:

When I first created the site, my reason for wanting to increase my luck surface area was to find a job where I could apply these passions. And wouldn't you know, the most perfect opportunity came along: I am now working part time for the LA city open data team while I freelance and pursue personal projects on the side.

I'll communicate things I'm working on through my blog and social network, and you can find our team blog here: DataLA. I'd love to connect!
