Greetings, thank you once again for visiting my website and desiring to learn a little information about myself. Well to begin, I am originally from the East New York section of Brooklyn, New York. In deciding which school to attend, I knew that I wanted to go to school out of state because I did not want to limit my possibilities. I knew it would be a tough transition, but I accepted the challenges as the first step on the road to independence and new opportunities. This fall I will be starting my second year at the University of Southern California with Political Science as my major and two minors; one is Education in a Pluralistic Society and the other is Critical Approaches to Leadership. I would like to work in an educational setting in the future as an administrator to ensure that students receive a quality education and have the resources necessary to succeed academically and personally. This has become a recent goal amongst my other goals of desiring to be a lawyer and congresswoman. I am glad I was able to come to USC because I love the school spirit here and the plethora of opportunities to be involved in campus and community activities. This past year, I have been involved in the marching band, Radisson building government, Sisters in Spirit, the Emerging Leaders Program and Student Senate. I was elected to be one of the Advocacy Representatives of the University Residential Student Community. I was recently inducted into the Residential Student Leader Honorary, which is an honor society specifically recognizing student leaders in residence halls. I was fortunate enough to be involved in some volunteer activities here in California. I have sorted food, clothes, and hygiene products for both Hurricane Katrina victims at the Bell Salvation Army, and for families and children at the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank. I believe I had the chance to make positive changes and differences, but I aspire to do even more and make greater impacts on campus and in the surrounding community. My main interests right now include being the best that I can be in whatever I do, seeking to find out more about myself, living a positive and influential life for others, and strengthening my relationship with God. The best part of life for me now is just living and being able to experience both the bitter and sweet. I am excited to fulfill the remainder of my years here at USC, and to live out God's ultimate destiny for my life.
