Basics

Scissor Blocks

Turning Hook Kick (turning reverse roundhouse)

Flying- roundhouse, front and side kicks. Jumping back kick.

Back & side falls and rolls.

Demonstrate control of strikes & kicks: stop within an inch of target

Self-Defense

One-Step:

17) Bend knees & fall diagonally fwd to L onto your hands (volley-ball fall) R kick to stomach, then R leg goes behind opponents knees and L leg goes in front of his feet. W scissor motion (R leg back, L fwd) make opponent fall fwd. Roll to R and L kick to back of face.

20) Variations of “judo throws” using hips and grabbing a)around neck, b)behind back c) arm.

Grabs: Add throws (& take-downs) to all old Techniques.

Sparring Step Drills

-         Jab, back hand Punch & Roundhouse

-         Back Roundhouse followed by  Turning Hook Kick (turning reverse roundhouse)

-         Defend against  Turning Hook Kick by applying a Roundhouse kick

Free Sparing

a)      Contact Sparring with full protective equipment

b)      Controlled sparring with no contact – must demonstrate ability to control kick: kick fast but stop within an inch of target (or lightly tap target).

From choombi:

1.      Turn 90 degrees to the L with the L leg, R palm-hand inner block in L tiger stance at 9 o’clock.

2.      R leg front kick, returning foot back to L tiger stance with L out-to-in middle block.

3.      Pivoting on the L foot, turning CW to 3 o’clock, L palm-hand inner block in R tiger stance.

4.      L leg front kick, returning foot back to R tiger stance with R out-to-in middle block.

5.      Turn CCW, facing 12 o’clock, L low-section knifehand guarding block in L back stance.

6.      Stepping forward, R low-section knifehand guarding block in R back stance.

7.      Turn 90 degrees to the L with L leg to 9 o’clock and execute with right middle guarding push block with L cat stance.

8.      Execute R backfist to the sternum area.

9.      Turn 180 degrees to the R with R leg to 3 o’clock, and execute L middle guarding push blcok with R cat stance.

10.  Execute L backfist to the sternum area.

11.  Turn 90 degrees to the L with L leg to 12 o’clock and execute high joon bi position with both feet together.

12.  Move forward with L leg and execute L inside middle and R down block simultaneously with L front stance.  Follow with R inside middle block and L down block simultaneously.

13.  Move forward with R leg and excute R inside middle block and L down block simultaneously with R fornt stance.  Follow with L inside middle block and R down block simultaneously.

14.  Turn 270 degrees to the L with L leg to 3 o’clock and excute doublt outside middle block (grabbing action included) with L front stance.

15.  Execute knee strike and jump forward with L leg (L foot behind the R).

16.  Move L leg backward and excute low X-block with rR front stance.

17.  Turn 180 degrees to the R with R leg to 9 o’clock and execute double outside middle block (grabbing action indluded) with R front stance.

18.  Execute L knee strike, and jump forward with R leg and excute doublt uppercut with L leg stance (R foot behind the L).

19.  Move R leg backward and execute low X-block with L front stance.

20.  Turn 90 degrees to the L with L leg to 6 o’clock and execute L backfist to the temple with L T-stance.

21.  Execute R outer crescent kick and land forward to horse stance with R high elbow strke (L hand grabs and pulls the opponent’s head towards the R elbow).

22.  Adjust to R T stance by moving R leg back and execute R backfist to the temple.

23.  Execute L outer crescent kick and land forward to horse stance with L high elbow strke.

24.  Execute L knifehand outside middle block.

25.  Move forward with R leg and execute R middle punch with horse stance and kihap.

Move L leg CCW back to choombi.
