Currently I am a student at the University of Southern California studying Masters in Computer Science. I completed my Undergraduation from Thadomal Shahani Engineering College, Mumbai India in Computer Engineering.
The world of IT/Technology/Computers has always fasinated me. This passion earned me my Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering and now is getting me my Masters Degree. Computer Science is a vast growing field. My major interests in Computer Science would be in Multimedia Systems, iPhone Development, Web Technologies, Database Systems and Computer Networks.
Besides Computer Science I also have other interests and hobbies. I have a very creative mind and like to draw/paint. I guess I inherited the trait from my parents who are both commercial artists. Another passion of mine is Aeromodelling. I always wanted to know how airplanes fly and how the law of gravity was beaten. I have built these radio controlled balsa wooden airplanes which I fly mostly on Sundays. I am even interested in Photography of airplanes.
What do I do in my idle time? Mostly catch up on some latest updates in technology or sometimes if I find a webpage really well made I try understanding its source code(using firebug a plug in by firefox). One thing I have learnt is that the web is growing very fast and it is very easy to get any kind of information on the web. I have learnt most of the web technologies through the web itself. I have been coding almost all my life now in various computer languages and I believe that "coding" is not as difficult as understanding when to code , what to code and where to code. In India I worked(for almost 2 years) for a NGO called Akansha.wherein I taught the children art and craft. While I was volunteering I also won the "Best Volunteer of the Year" for the year 2008-2009
Since school days, back in India I have been interested in sports. I won the Championship title for almost three years during my school. I have represented my school for inter- school soccer and other athletic events. I enjoy playing cricket and swimming.
