Biography:
     Sudeng Hu received his B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from Zhejiang University , China in 2007. And he received his M.Phil. degree in Computer Science from City University of Hong Kong in 2010. Currently he is a Ph.D. student under the supervision of Prof. C.-C. Jay Kuo in Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Southern California. Before joining USC, he was a M.Phil student and a Research Associate under the supervision of Prof. Sam Kwong and collaborated with Prof. Hanli Wang. During the summer of 2012 and 2013, he interned at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, Cambridge and Texas Instruments, Dallas respectively.   In 2015, he received Chinese Goverment Award for Outstanding Self-Financed Students Abroad.


Research interests: 
 image and video compression, rate control, scalable video coding, 3-D video coding and video quality assessment
