About Me
My name is Samantha Stieger and I live in Woodland Hills, California. I graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, CA with a Bachelor's of Science in Social Science, which was a combination degree of Anthropology, Geography, and Sociology. I am enrolled in the GIST Master's degree program. I currently do not hold a GIS-related job, while I am trying to gain more experience in the field first. The field of Web GIS is relatively new and exciting to me but I hope to explore web mapping capabilities and understand more programming concepts. I've had some basic HTML code and programming training but would like to expand my knowledge in the Web GIS field. The Web holds endless possibilities for the world of GIS, mapping, and data sharing, in which I hope to gain employment that explores this developing platform. I'm excited to say that this will be my first Web GIS project!
