Sanjay Purushotham received his B.Tech Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from National Institute of Technology Karnataka, India in 2007. He completed his M.S. coursework in Electrical Engineering from Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering at Viterbi School of Engineering, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA in 2008. Since 2009 he has been a PhD student in Electrical Engineering at USC. Currently, he is a Research Assistant at Media Communications Lab (MCL) advised by Prof. C.-C. Jay Kuo and belongs to the Video subgroup. His research interests are in the areas of multimedia data mining, machine learning, optimization theory and graph theory.
