donations

As a non-profit student organization, Spirits in Action relies solely on monetary and in-kind donations (from philanthropic organizations, corporate sponsorship, and personal donation) for its year-to-year survival. This is not an insignificant amount of capital to be raised. This year we are expecting over 300 athletes, 250 spectators(mostly athletes' family members), and upwards of 500 volunteers to attend our event at USC's McCarthy Quad. Spirits in Action is free to all participants, and yet we provide Tshirts for all involved, breakfast and lunch, and awards for every athlete. We anticipate costs to approach $10,000 this year.

We at Spirits believe that it is very important that we support our sponsors. With a donation of more than $300, you will be listed on the event program and T-shirt, while a greater donation will result in events being named after you (or your organization). Any individual or organization donating more than $5000 will be considered the principle sponsor of Spirits in Action 2009, and the event will be named as such
