MS in Computer Science(Data Science),University of Southern California

Graduating in May 2017 and looking for internship opportunites(Summer 2016)

I am a Computer Science Graduate Student at the University of Southern California. I have a profound interest in Artifical Intelligence, Information Retrieval, Search Engines, Information Integration and Scalable Systems. I love to explore new technologies and enjoy solving algorithmic challenges.

The word 'Data' excites me and I am looking forward to learning more about Information extraction, Data Analysis and Machine Learning in my upcoming semesters. I am currently acquainting myself with skills in Apache Tika, Nutch, Solr and ElasticSearch to be able to develop and work on a project with Professor Mattmann at USC.

After completing my undergrad, I worked for 2 years with the Global Technology Team at J.P Morgan Chase, Bangalore(India). As a technology analyst, I worked on projects which involved the development and support of Loan Workflow Systems for the Wholesale Loan Syndication and Trading division of the Commerical Bank at J.P Morgan. I was also involved in the performance improvement of a trading platform to allow for multiprocessing and faster resolution of trades, which resulted in increased revenue for the bank.

When I am not working or studying, I invest my time in reading about new technologies to improve my skillset and listening to pop music. I love to play the guitar and dance too :)

LegalCrystal Cloud Organizer(CakePHP,HTML,JS,Python): This is a lawyer's cloud based organizer which takes care of automation of an advocate's office. The organizer allows its user to store client information, add date of filing, next hearing date, reminders and upload case related documents. A case-based lookup feature was also built to provide a search tool to the lawyers who could find comprehensive case details from within the application itself. This application was built as a part of my internship at Gavista Tech.

SWAT Tool(JAVA/Servlets): The SWAT Tool is a ticket management system that provides product development teams with an interface to manage product outages and resolve them sequentially. This tool allows for ticket creation which indicates the nature of the outage, level of urgency and other related information. The created tickets are visible for teams to pick up and work on. Whenever a particular ticket is in progress, it is locked by development teams and they are provided with a common window to view real-time status of the resolution, organize calls and add members etc.. The ticket is removed from the system after resolution.
