The Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS) is an ongoing longitudinal survey, the first wave of which was fielded during late 1993 and early 1994 (IFLS1). The first follow-up wave was surveyed during the second half of 1997 (IFLS2). The third wave (IFLS2+) was a special follow-up survey fielded during the late 1998. The fourth wave of the IFLS was fielded in 2000 (IFLS3). Another wave of the IFLS will be in the field shortly.

The IFLS collects extensive information at the individual, the household, and the community level. The survey includes modules on measures of health, household composition, labor and non labor income, farm and non-farm assets, pregnancy, schooling, consumption expenditure, contraceptive use, sibling information, and immunization.
