The USC Second Life Student Developers Group is dedicated to exploring the unique possibilities afforded by virtual worlds, becoming fully literate in their conventions through learning how to create content in them and interacting in these spaces.

To this end, we seek interdisciplinary collaboration between students and faculty

President: Erin Reynolds

Erin Reynolds is a MFA student at USC School of Cinematic Arts - Interactive Media
Prior to enrolling to the Cinematics school, Erin worked as Game Designer, Illustrator at www.reynoldsphobia.com; Associate Game Designer at Fall Line Studio; Associate Producer, Game Design at Disney Interactive Studios. She completed her bachelors from USC in Fine Arts. Though she recently joined the SLSDG, she plays a key role in the group activity.

Officer: Yashodhar Narvaneni

Yashodhar Narvaneni is a MS student at USC Viterbi School of Engineering - Electical Engineering
Prior to joining USC, he worked as a Web developer in India. He is been working as a Student Developer in Center for Scholarly Technology, ITS-USC since January 2009. He is been with SLSDG since its inception and involves in all research activity of the group.

Officer: Nitin John

Nitin Kurian John is a MS student at USC Viterbi School of Engineering – Computer Science with major interest in Computer Graphics and Game Programming.
Prior to joining USC, he worked as a Electrical Engineer in Kuwait. He is working as a Student Developer in Center for Scholarly Technology, ITS-USC since September 2009. He is been with SLSDG since its inception. He did his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from NIT Calicut,India.

Member: Dheeraj Mehta

Dheeraj Mehta is a MS student at USC Viterbi School of Engineering - Computer Science
Prior to joining USC, he worked as a Software Engineer for Accenture Services, India. At USC, he has worked as Web Developer for CS Department at Viterbi;Web Developer for CIBER, USC; Application Developer for Norris Cancer Institute at HSC. He is currently the Course Producer for CS480 - Computer Graphics & recently joined SLSDG."

Member: Leslie Marchand

Leslie Marchand is an undergraduate in the University of Southern California's Cinema Production program. She was introduced to Second Life when she began working for the eLearning Department at the USC Marshall School of Business in 2008. She currently helps to maintain the Marshall Island in Second Life (click for teleport!http://slurl.com/secondlife/USC%20Marshall/128/128/2) and is interested in researching the educational possibilities of Second Life along with methods of making Second Life more intuitive for new users.

Member: Ankur Sheel

Ankur Sheel is a MS student at USC Viterbi School of Engineering - Computer Science with a focus on Intelligent Robotics Prior to joining USC, he worked in Mainframes for a while at Perot Systems, India. Soon he shifted to implementing the AI systems for start-up game companies in India. He has recently joined SLSDG.

Creative Consultant/Alumnus: Matthew Lee

Matthew Lee is a USC Alumni. He pursued his Bachelors degree from USC School of Cinematic Arts - Theatre Matt has contributed alot to the USC-eLand and also SLSDG. Click here to view Matt's Thesis project in Second Life

LSL Developer/Alumnus: Sudhanshu Dahiya

Sudhanshu is a USC Alumni currently consulting SLSDG in various aspects of linden Scripting. He has graduated with Masters in Electrical Engineering with concentration on Computer Engineering. Prior to joining SLSDG, he was working as a web developer at Department of Public Safety. He also created a section on usc eland for DPS to showcase various resources and services available to USC community.
