Mission Statement:

Second Life is one of the most popular interactive virtual worlds available to the public today. Users, or Residents, are given complete freedom to explore, socialize, and even help build this organic, ever-growing community. The USC Second Life Student Developers Group is an organization of students dedicated to exploring the full potential of SL’s virtual world capabilities. We are interested in the Education and Social Networking possibilities of SL and are excited by the positive effects projects within the Second Life community can have on the real-world community as a whole. As an organization, we engage in Second Life research and development, education and outreach, and the tireless pursuit of finding new and innovative ways to utilize the tools of this virtual community to make an impact far beyond the reach of its virtual boundaries.
