The sisters of Sigma Phi Omega are strongly committed to serving the community. Our official National Philanthropy is domestic violence. Every year, a week in October is taken to help promote our cause. Our members can be seen on Trousdale Parkway, passing out informational brochures and purple ribbons. Donations are also collected at this time and is used to benefit a local organization.

Although our national philanthropy is to raise awareness and promote the prevention of domestic violence, throughout the year we also participate in a number of other philanthropies. We also respond to current events, such as the Hurricane Katrina disaster.

Sigmas are proud to serve the communities in which we live. Service is one of the main aspects of our sisterhood, and we are always glad to contribute and make a difference.

... The reward is in the doing.
