Dr. Shumin Fang

Dr. Shumin Fang holds Master of Music in piano performance from Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester, where she was a full scholarship of graduate award student.  She is currently a Dean's Music Merit Scholarship student at Thornton School of Music, pursuing her DMA (Doctor of Music Art) degree.  She is major in violin performance, and minors in piano performance, music education, and string pedagogue. 

Dr. Fang has been taught piano and violin for 10 years and operated her own studio in Diamond Bar, California since 2002.  She is an active member of MTAC (Music Teacher Association California) and ASTA (American String Teacher Association).  Her students won numerous prizes in ASTA solo competitions and great achievement in Certificate of Merit and ABRSM (Associate board of Royal School of Music) evaluations.
