LA to L.A.? City of Angels to steal Saints from New Orleans

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, the city of Los Angeles is looking to capitalize on New Orleans' destruction. L.A. officials say that the NFL's Saints would be much more successful in the their own city's market and are hoping to make a bid on the team later this week.

  UCLA player causes blackout

Authorities discovered today that the massive L.A. blackout on Monday was caused by a UCLA football player's failed attempt to steal gold-plated cables and melt them to make jewlery. UCLA officials have been accused of paying the Department of Water and Power to cover up the mess.
