I am a student at the University
of Southern California, majoring in English Language and Literature,
with a minor in the Teaching Profession. I live in North
Hollywood, California, where I belong to a close-knit Jewish
community.
Aside from English, I speak
and read French and Hebrew, as well as some Spanish. I've always
been fascinated with languages and the ways in which they are related
to each other, and I think it's wonderful to be able to communicate with
others in their own languages.
I enjoy reading
many types of literary genres, including poetry, short stories, and
historical essays and novels. I sometimes experiment with my writing
skills in the form of poetry or non-fictional essays, which I use
mainly for my own writing development.
In pursuing my
career goal of being an educator, I've worked with students of all
ages, reinforcing my desire to teach. From working part-time
in a kindergarten, to teaching Hebrew to elementary-school students,
I've enjoyed every teaching experience I've had. I've also
volunteered in teaching various subjects to high school students as
well as to adults.
