Welcome to my homepage!  

I'm a PhD student at USC in the Computer Science Department, working with both Prof. Shri Narayanan in the SAIL Lab and Prof. C.-C. Jay Kuo in the Media Communications Lab. My research interests include machine learning, data mining, and pattern recognition. I'm currently researching on designing auditory environment recognition system and incorporating audio and visual information for robotic interaction and navigation.

I love the outdoors and especially rock climbing. Whenever I have free time, I like to go climbing, mountain biking, hiking, snowboarding, scuba diving, or anything that's fun. Although I'm a beginner at climbing and mountaineering, eventually I hope to climb most of the Fourteeners in California and maybe Alaska. After that... who knows what other places I will go!
