Teachers are some of the most valuable contributors to the future of our world.  They educate the future generations to become cultured, knowledgeable, and productive citizens.  Teachers have the unique and vital opportunity to mold young students in to informed adults.

It is important for teachers to impart the idea that the learning process is valuable and interesting. When students get joy out of learning, they will become curious citizens of the world who find knowledge in every aspect of life. When knowledge is something that students desire to obtain, they will actively engage in their education and become active learners. The importance of the learning process is that it is individual to each student, and the teacher needs to help make learning specific and valuable to everyone.  This includes culturally relevant materials, as well as extra learning materials, such as picture libraries, for students who need extra help.

When I become a teacher, I want my students to know that life itself is an opportunity to learn. People can learn something new everyday. By actively searching for knowledge in the world, they will become more cultured people. They will not only be students within the classroom but students of the world, and that is a very important factor of the learning process.

I will also impart to my students that they are all unique, worthwhile, special, and capable human beings.  It is easy for students to got lost within the education system, and fall between the cracks.  It is not moral for students to be dropping out of school because they are not getting the necessary attention , or graduating without the ability to read or to basic math.  When I am a teacher, my goal will be to inspire each student, and give them direction and a hope for a future.
