USC Student member Alex Gaon fired a 1 under 35 on the back side to finish strong and win the 2003 Club Championship with a net 72 at Coyote Hills Sunday. Gaon held off last years Club Champion and 2002 SCGA Tournament of Club Champions Runner up, OJ Hibbert who fired a net 75.

In the team better ball Championship, 2002’s most improved golfer, Michael Clayton paired with OJ Hibbert to card a net 63. They held off last year’s team champions Ron Wainwright and Greg Desario by two shots and Mike Munson and Greg Long by 3 shots.

Closest to the pin winners were also partners, Michael Kelly and Beth Gates fired shots that were within 10 feet on holes #3 and #17. Brian Veitch won the long drive contest with a bomb that had John Daley in awe. Individual Skins were won by the following: Hibbert 2, Munson 1, Clayton 1.
