Competitive Team Forming

The competitive branch of the Trojan Golf Club will give top golfers the opportunity to compete against other collegiate golf teams.  These competitive events will mirror the template used in team play at the high school and NCAA level.  Players who elect to participate in the competitive branch will essentially be on a team, competing against other programs in southern California.  Please contact Jonathan Waxman (jwaxman@usc.edu) if you are interested in playing on the competitive team.

Event

Trojans vs the Buckeyes
Sept. 11, 2009
OSU GC, 1pm

USC Golf Club travels to Ohio for some exciting golf and football. Club members, guests and alumni participate in this 2-person best ball challenge. Join all levels of Trojan Golfers as we get together for a great day of golf before we beat the Buckeyes in football on Saturday.

This university's golfing facility features two outstanding eighteen hole courses. The Gray Course is short and highlighted by the many trees lining its fairways. The Scarlet Course, the more difficult design, has more hazards coming into play than the Gray Course. "Golf Digest" rated this as the 17th "Best in State" course for the years 1995 through 1998. Other awards include "GOLF Magazine's" ranking of 81st among the "100 Greatest Courses in the U.S." for 1995, and "GOLFWEEK" selecting it 74th in the category of "America's 100 Best Classical Courses" for 1997. One must be a student, alumni, faculty, or guest in order to play either course.
