  • Goal for DB This Year: Continue team bonding, expand recruiting efforts and work even harder to bring out the elite athletes in all of us. Fight On baby.
  • Best DB Memory: My first practice, Arizona, LBC, Socials, End of the year Banquet....there are just too many, which makes DB so much fun.

  • Biggest DB Accomplishment: Taking a leadership position on this team and also putting myself out there to meet new people and to learn an entirely new sport.  I'm so glad I did because DB has become my favorite thing to do now at USC!  I've met my best friends from DB.
  • Goal for DB This Year: I hope to raise USC Dragonboat to the next racing level through increased training, creating more excitement, team spirit and commitment for DB and also by entering more compeititions.  I also want to strengthen team membership through recruiting- the more people the better!  I also hope to have more team bonding experiences.
  • Best DB Memory: running practices with the "early morning crew" and getting yummy popsicles as rewards (compliments of Brian), crazy karaoke and all you can eat korean BBQ (totally awesome), CPK run, racing in the Arizona competition for the first time ever, after-practice lunch with the team, getting to meet all these wonderful people from Dragonboat!!
  • Dragon Boat Tip: Though Dragonboat is competitive, it is also a lot about meeting new people, making new friends,  promoting strong relationships, and good sportsmanship.  Get out there and meet people you don't already know!  Also, Dragonboat is all about timing and teamwork.  No matter how strong of a paddler you are, the boat won't go anywhere unless everybody paddles at the same time together.  Timing is key!
  • What I do when I'm not paddling, besides dreaming of paddling:eating, working out, cooking, oh and did I mention eating?

  • Why I decided to coach: I really like the team and they were a part of some of the greatest memories I have. I want to continue making memories with them, and one memory in particular I want to make with them is watching them cross the finish line first.
  • One thing I learned from Coach Seb: You need to be able to understand the limits of some paddlers.
  • Best pre-race food: Banana, muffin or power bars
  • Best post-race food: Solid meals with a decent amount of carbs
  • Goal for DB This Year: As a coach, to be clearer and precise when instructing people about paddling techniques; for the members, I want them to make it their goal to recruit more and be able to work together off and on the boat as a team.
  • Best SCDB memory: Kevin falling off the boat when Ganni was steering.
  • Biggest SCDB accomplishment: Gathering another energetic crew that has become very passionate and involved about the sport as it did last year.
  • Dragon Boat Tip: "Do as I say, not as I do." And give 110% while dragon boating.
  • If I could be any superhero, I'd choose... The Tick. He's a very funny superhero.
  • Is it true that you CAN have a girlfriend and be involved with DB at the same time?! Yes, but you should always strive to keep a balance between the two.
