Los Angeles County 18 and OVER

The Palace 1735 Vine St. Hollywood (Corner of Hollywood and Vine, accross from the Capitol Records Building) $10 cover before 10pm ($12 after 10pm) KROQ Friday Nights (alternative) and Klub KIIS (hip hop/techno/alternative/club) Saturday Nights. Two Dance floors and two full bars. Both nights 9pm-3am
Arena 6655 Santa Monica Blvd., Hollywood $10 Thursday-Sunday nights 9pm-4am. 22,000 sq.ft. nightclub in a former ice factory features various theme nights. Full bar, food available until midnight. Thurs: Fun has two rooms of electronic craziness, including techno, trance and breaks in room one, and jungle and drum n' bass in room two, with special guest DJ's each week. Blue1642 Las Palmas Ave., Hollywood$6 Sun & Mon & Thurs, $10-12 Fri, $10 Weds & SatThis Venue (former Las Palmas Theater), from Mike Stewart and Bruce Perdew (Helter Skelter, Velvet, Clockwork Orange), has dancing and a full-service restaurant. Mon: Nocturne offers gothic, ehtereal and dark-wave sounds for a black-garbed crowd. Wed: Dance till you're all warm and fuzzy to trance, house and techno. Thurs: Taste the flava of Hot Apple Pie, featuring the creamy groove of hip-hop and funk in the front room eith trance and house in the back room. Then, after-hourrs dance party, Undergound has the sounds of New York house from 2am on. Fri: Trance-mission has top guest DJs from all over spinning trance, techno and industrial beats. Sat: Stigmata is back with all the dark wave and alternative sounds you crave. Sun: new wave, industrial, alternative, techno and disco all in one night! Scantily clad go-go girls and boys add to the hedonistic mood.
EL REY Theater 5515 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles 21+ $15, 18-20 $10 Saturday-Sunday. This beautiful art deco space offers monthly and weekly evenings of flamboyant atmosphere and themed dance music. First Sat. of the month: Put on your Makeup and get ready to move to 70's glam and trash; spectacular midnight live shows (21+ only). Third Sun. of the month: live acts and a spacious dance floor on which to cast your spell; dance and entrance to the dark sounds from the 80's and 90's.
Florentine Gardens 5951 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood Thurs & Sun: $8, Fri & Sat: $12 Thurs.-Sun: Young clubsters pack this huge danceteria featuring super-cool local DJs spinning all the latest dance tunes for a dress-to-impress crowd (there is a dress code). California ID required; security parking 9pm-2am
The Ruby 7070 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood Weds, Fri & Sat: $10, Thurs: $8, Sun: $7 Large dance venue featuring a variety of nightlife promotions. Weds: Recapture the Magic, at this night of electronic, progressive and chemical beats. Thurs: The creators of Stigmata, Velvet and Xanadu offer you another Perversion, w/3 separate dance floors of industrial, 80's and gothic. Fri: Clockwork Orange has three rooms of intense music from the same people behind Perversion and Velvet. Sat: The day ends with a Bang at this big night of dancing to all kinds of sounds. Travel through time with 60's-70's tunes n the front room, 80's-90's faves in the main room and electronic future beats in the back room. Sun: Two clubs in one! Fashion is a stylish evening featuring 60's and 70's pop hits, and Club 80's has all your favorites from the decade of excess.
Cafe Danssa Pico Blvd. West LA (West of the I-405, North of the I-10) Brazilian Samba dancing on Friday nights with a live band.

KOKOMO's 17927 MacArthur Blvd., Irvine (corner of MacArthur and Main) before 9pm; 21+ are free, 18-20 are half price. After 90pm; 21+ $5, 18-20 $12. Thurs: Animal House Beach Party. house/disco/hip-hop/KROQ music. Don't miss your chance to enter the hot body contest--or your chance to drool. Possible discounts w/college ID. Fri. & Sat: Nonstop Dance Party Marathon. Top 40/hip-hop/house/KROQ.
JC Fandango 1086 N. State College Blvd, Anaheim$10 Friday and Saturdays: Salsa/Marangue in the main room; Spanish rock in the second room, 9pm. Dress Code Enforced
The Boogie 1721 S. Manchester, Anaheim$6 21+, $10 18-20 before 10pm Thursdays and Saturdays: Dance on their many dance floors to Top 40/house/'80's/club mix.
Avant Garde Ballroom 4220 Scott Dr., Newport Beach $10 Alternates between Ballroom and Latin Dancing on Friday and Saturday Nights.
