Fall semester welcomes 4 new dances that will challenge both beginner and intermediate dancers alike. You will learn Cha Cha and Rumba in Latin Dance Class; Tango and Waltz in Smooth Dance. Feel free to browse this site for information and pictures of our team.

Dance Levels

Beginning Level is for dancers with little or no dance experience.  Partnership rotaion will be frequent, and lessons will focus on the basics of posture, lead and follow, and the basic dance steps.
  • Beginners practices will be on the same evening as the intermediate level, but will go from 7:00 - 9:00 pm

Intermediate Level is for those dancers who have already mastered the basic step patterns.  These lessons will focus on improved technique and style. Those who wish to be members of the intermediate level (including those who are) will need to attend the beginners practice. The instructors will decide if you are ready for the intermediate level or need to concentrate on perfecting your bronze technique. Any questions are to be taken up with the team captains.

  • Intermediate Smooth practices (for members who can demonstrate knowledge of syllabus steps) are on Mondays from 8:00pm - 10:00pm

  • Intermediate Latin practices (again, syllabus knowledge will be required) are on Wednesday evenings from 8:00pm - 10:00pm

Dues are $65 per semester for USC students, and $85 for staff/faculty. Dues cover instruction, room rental fees, and some travel expenses. Members pay for their own shoes and costumes, and most of their travel expenses.
