Reina Kahn

Reina Kahn is currently a certificate student in GIST Program but is hopefully going to enter into the Masters program after her first semester. Reina currently works for SRI International as a GIS Specialist mainly focusing on 3D virtual terrain development for live tracking training purposes. Prior to this she served as US Peace Corps volunteer in Jamaica and Guatemala from 2005-2009 working on developing GIS programs and acted as the GIS trainer for other volunteers and their counterparts. Reina's GIS career began as a GIS technician with the California Department of Food and Agriculture mapping invasive plant species in California. With a B.A in Environmental Studies from University of California, Santa Cruz, her true passion lies in GIS with an environmental application but she loves the ability to bring GIS into any sector. Specifically she is interested in creating dynamic simulation models that visualize natural disaster events.
