Kristan (also known as the Power Behind the Throne) was instrumental in the invigoration of the re-formed club in 1998. More enthusiastic than skilled, she made up for low point totals with the uncanny abilities to cut through USC red tape and get food donated for campus events. Despite her skills, her
priorities seemed questionable as she gave up the opportunity to be on the CBI team that went to Nationals and went to Australia instead. Nonetheless, she assisted in marathon packet writing
sessions, and returned to the team when she returned to the States. Now a law student, she has no time for a real life, let alone Quiz Bowl. And that is very sad.
