Deep in the hood of Los Angeles... A war has erupted...  GHETTO WARZ is the USC Quiz Bowl college invitational tournament which will be held on April 17, 2004. Ghetto Warz is a packet-submission tournament with a question breakdown similar to what you would encounter at most other tournaments, though there are a few twists (check here for question breakdown and notes). The tournament is open to ALL ADULTS, even if they are not currently attending college. Bastard teams are also acceptable. The tournament will begin at approximately 9:00 AM, and finish some time in the evening. Packets will contain 26 toss-ups and 26 bonuses and will be due Tuesday, April 6, at 11:59 PM. If your school is sending multiple teams, make sure the packets are blind between teams. Rounds will be timed, with 10 minute halves. This is because our previous experience has shown that untimed tournaments have a knack for running late; this is an annoyance to both players and tournament coordinators alike. Fee structure:
Late packet penalty (after Tuesday, April 6, 11:59 PM): $10, plus you may get jumped at any point during the tournament Extremely late packet penalty (after Sunday, April 11, 11:59 PM): $30.
