The Asian Pacific American Student Assembly (APASA) dedicates its programming to the USC Asian Pacific American community. APASA aims to foster a sense of community and solidarity, showcase the rich diversity of Asian Pacific American cultures, create awareness for important social issues, and advocate for APAs on campus. Not only does APASA provide activities which foster leadership, friendship, and communication in the APA population, but APASA also nurtures the entire community’s growth by proactively integrating the diversity of the campus into its programming.
How do I get involved?
Although APASA is not a traditional student organization, you can still get involved! We host a committee program for a variety of events and an internship program during the spring. Joining the committee program is a foot into the door of APASA internship program and executive board; it gives students an opportunity to take part in planning and executing events.
Furthermore, the internship program offers tools that will foster student leadership for Asian Pacific Americans at USC and provides interns with an understanding of how APASA functions and the knowledge to get things done on campus, from administrative resources to venue reservations.
Interns are trained with an objective to lead APASA and/ or other campus organizations in the near future.
Participation in our programs and clubs enables students to interact with one another, to build stronger foundations in their college relationships: nurturing growth, unity, and fun.
APASA’s traditional events include:
* Winter Formal
