Welcome to my page~ I am currently working toward the Ph.D degree with advisor
Prof. Antonio Ortega. My general research interest is image/video compression and processing. In particular, my thesis work focuses on multiview video coding (MVC). By analyzing and understanding characteristics of multiview video data, we developed techniques which significantly improve coding efficiency while addressing complexity issues. (
For short summary, please refer to my Resume in PDF format. For more detailed information, please look the Research and Publications pages.)
I was a summer intern in 2006, 2007, 2008, at
Thomson Corporate Research, Princeton, NJ, working in the advanced compression team. I received the B.S. degree from
National Taiwan University (NTU) in 2002, and the M.S. degree from the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, in 2004, both in electrical engineering. I was a recipient of USC School of Engineering Doctoral Scholarship in 2004.
