Introduction

I am currently a research staff member in the services research group at the IBM T.J.Watson Research Center.

I completed my Ph.D in July 2010 from the Daniel J. Epstein Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering at the University of Southern California. My doctoral advisors were Maged Dessouky and Fernando Ordóñez. I obtained my Masters degree in Operations Research from USC in 2005, and a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in 2003.

During my doctoral studies, I was awarded the Doctoral Disseration Fellowship award by the John Randolph Haynes and Dora Haynes Foundation for the 2009-2010 academic year. Details on the award can be found here. I was also awarded the 2008-09 Outstanding Teaching Assistant by the Epstein Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering.

Research Interests

I am primarily interested in building network optimization models, and in designing and analyzing alogrithms for combinatorial optimization problems. I am particularly interested in applying these ideas to problems in the areas of transportation, logistics, inventory management and supply chain management. My current and past research have invloved building optimization and simulation models, and designing algorithms for applications in these areas.

A list of my publications can be found on this page.
