I'm a first year student in American Studies and Ethnicity. I am interested in identity formation for Latinos in the United States and want to explore issues related to that such as immigration history, location, "home", code switching, and the creation and maintenance of that identity through commodities and the media. For a possible dissertation topic I want to explore the growing Latino community in Arkansas.
