I am a PhD student in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles since Fall 2011. My advisor is Prof. Viktor Prasanna and my research interests lie in the broad domains of event processing, semantic web and Big Data analytics.

I am a Research Assistant at the USC-Chevron Center for Interactive Smart Oilfield Technologies (CiSoft) in the Big Data Analysis project for Smart Oil Fields. Within this group, I am responsible for the Event Modeling and Management (EMM) project. I am also a member of the USC Center for Energy Informatics. Before coming to USC, I received my Bachelors in Computer Science and Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, India.
