Welcome to My Website

I am a final year student of the Master of Science program in Mechanical Engineering of the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at University of Southern California, Los Angeles, CA , with Mechanical Design as my specialization. I did my under graduation in Mechanical Engineering from P.E.S. Institute of Technology, Bengaluru, India.

My natural inclination has always been towards the coalface truth or pragmatic side of engineering science. In my engineering course I have taken keen interest in application aspects of Mechanical engineering to Automobile, Aerospace, Product Design, Energy and Manufacturing sectors. I recognize the influence of mechanical engineering design and its impact on society.  I would like to be a part of this community of practical thinkers. I want to work extensively on Mechanical design of devices and components, on Mechanics and analysis of various elements using CAD/CAM/CAE tools.

All along I have been an active member in sports, social service and other extra curricular activities. This has inculcated in me leadership qualities and organizing ability. I served as the President of the student body in the senior year of my undergraduate school. Apart from providing the time of my life, this experience also taught me the importance of patience and tolerence. They also made me a strong leader and a confident public speaker.

I am a happy-go-lucky person who is always on the look out for avenues and opportunities for fun and adventure. An avid admirer of music from the Indian Classical forms to the classic rock bands of the 70's. I love meeting new people and networking with them, sharing interests and developing new ones. I wish to portray myself for who I am in this website.

Cheers!

- Preetham Murthy.
