To one and all,
Good news! The lovely new 10th issue of Paláver has just been
released and can be ordered in all its glorious radiance. After hours
of hard work and debate, we staffers are glad to present the fruits of
our labor, as well as the creative minds behind the pieces. It's been
ten issues and Paláver is incredibly proud to be a primary source for
all USC students and their literary and artistic musings. To another
ten issues!

Whoohoo! Our issue has gone to the printers! A
beautiful, beautiful new Paláverian baby is on its way. We'll keep you
all informed on here and on the website.

Paláver Info Session
Hey all,
If you haven't heard or need reminding, we're holding our info session
this Thursday, 1/31 at 7pm so if you'd like to get to know a little bit
more about us, please come by. This also serves as the staff's first
meeting of the year so you'll get a real good look at what our staff
looks and sounds like this semester. We'll also be going through some
big news and some changes to Palaver's normal timeline, all to be
discussed at the meeting.
If you're interested in applying for an editorial position, want to
find out more about the submissions and selections process, and/or want
to know what happened to your previous submissions, please stop by and
plenty of editors will be there to help you get a handle on everything.
Again the information is:
Thursday, 1/31 7pm
Leavey Library, Room 3V in the basement
Also, if you met us at the Involvement Fair and got an application,
have it filled out and bring it on down. If you haven't gotten one and
are interested all the same, there'll be plenty at the meeting for you
to grab. We are really keeping an eye out for those well-versed in
InDesign and/or fundraising. All interested applicants, you will get
more information at the meeting about the next few steps.
Questions? Shoot us back an email.
See you then!

We’ve Finally Returned
Hey Paláverians, so sorry for the long absence! Just wanted to let
everyone know that we are, indeed, alive and that the website will be
fully operational next semester. The 10th issue will be out soon, as
well as news of its corresponding Winterween.
Stay tuned.

Under New Management
In case the Paláver gossip has not yet approached you this summer, we want to introduce the new Co-Editors-in-Chief of Paláver for 2007-08. Chelsea and Cherish (CH-squared, as we like to call them) will be leading the bunch next year, so be nice.
LA Times writer Hugh Hart has featured Paláver
in his latest article about how colleges in Los Angeles are
perpetuating the printed form of literary/arts magazines! Click on to
peruse Meet The New Paper Pushers.
The long-awaited Almost-10th-Volume of Paláver
did arrive, though not quite in time for the last week of school.
Apologies! Come fall there will be an official release party to
properly introduce the latest issue! For those of you who are still
local, we're still in the process of getting the new issue into the USC
Bookstore. For those of you who are out-of-towners, Paláver
mailings are very possible (but you'll have to be patient for just a
bit longer). To receive the latest issue by mail: Please send us a
check for $6, made out to Paláver, to
Palaver, c/o Victoria Vu
1246 W. 30th Street, #119
Los Angeles, CA 90007
Do be sure to include your desired mailing address, and send in your request by July 14. Issues will be mailed out by July 16.

Paláver is going on vacation now. Please be aware that responses to any summer inquiries may/will be delayed.
It's been a fine year.
