Our First Induction Ceremony

For the very first time, USC Nu Rho Psi as a newly established local Chapter will be inducting 20 new incoming members here at USC! We would like to extend our warmest welcome to all the new incoming members! Congratulations to the spring 2008 inductees! Our induction ceremony will be held on Tuesday April 29 at the VKC Atrium from 7:00-8:00pm.    

USC Nu Rho Psi was established in the year 2004 with the endeavor to advocate and stimulate a variety of interests for students in the field of neuroscience.  On March 17, 2008, USC Nu Rho Psi officially became a recognized local Chapter of the National Honor Society in Neuroscience, Nu Rho Psi. We are the Alpha Chapter in California and also the 13th Chapter of Nu Rho Psi. USC Nu Rho Psi consists of 7 executive board members and 3 working committees; Academic, Social, and Services. Our missions as a student organization and as a Chapter of Nu Rho Psi at USC are the following:

1. Encourage professional interest and excellence in scholarship, particularly in neuroscience
   
2. Award recognition to students who have achieved such excellence in scholarship
   
3. Advance the discipline of neuroscience
   
4. Encourage intellectual and social interaction between students, faculty, and professionals in neuroscience and related fields
   
5. Promote career development in neuroscience and related fields
   
6. Increase public awareness of neuroscience and its benefits for the individual and society
   Encourage service to the community
